It depends on the model. Standard iPads and older minis use a separate glass digitiser, so a cracked front with a healthy picture often needs only the top layer. Air and Pro models use a single laminated assembly, so the full display is replaced. Tell us your model in the online quote and we will confirm which applies.
Not always. Compressed lint at the bottom of the port causes this more often than a failed connector, and a proper clean fixes many of them on the spot. If the pins are worn or bent we replace the port itself, and we test charging under load before it leaves the bench.
On iPads with Touch ID, the fingerprint sensor is paired to the logic board, so a third-party replacement button restores clicking but not fingerprint unlock. Where possible we repair your original button to preserve Touch ID, and we will always explain the options before starting.
